Switching from Cloudbeds
Migrate from Cloudbeds to StaySynq.
Moving from Cloudbeds to StaySynq takes most properties 5–7 days. Our team moves your data and runs a parallel shift with you. This page covers what moves, what works differently afterwards, and who should stay on Cloudbeds.
What we move from Cloudbeds.
You export, we import. Before go-live you review the imported data and sign it off.
- Room types and rate plans
- Future and in-house reservations
- Up to 24 months of past reservations
- Guest profiles and stay history
- Tax rules and folio templates
- Staff accounts and permissions
The week, day by day.
- Day 1
- Export your data from your current system, using our checklist. It takes under an hour.
- Days 2–4
- We map rooms, rates, reservations and guest records into StaySynq and flag anything that needs your sign-off.
- Days 4–5
- You review the imported data. We connect your channel manager, map room types and run both systems for one shift.
- Days 5–7
- Go live. OTA bookings arrive through your channel manager and you stop using the old system.

What to plan for.
Not everything carries over one-to-one. Settle these before you set a go-live date.
- If you run a hostel that sells individual dorm beds, stay on Cloudbeds for now. StaySynq doesn't have per-bed inventory yet.
- Your OTAs run through Cloudbeds' built-in channel manager today, so you need a separate channel manager before go-live. We help you set it up; allow extra days for OTA mapping.
- List the marketplace integrations you use in Cloudbeds and check each one with us. Cloudbeds has a larger marketplace than StaySynq.
- Card details saved in your old system generally can't be exported, so plan to collect payment details again for future bookings.
- StaySynq's interface is in English.

Questions about leaving Cloudbeds.
- How long does it take to switch from Cloudbeds to StaySynq?
- Most properties are live in 5–7 days: about an hour to export your data, two to three working days for us to import and check it, then a one-shift parallel run. Setting up a new channel manager can add a few days.
- Can I switch without downtime?
- Yes. Your Cloudbeds account stays active while we import a copy of your data, both systems run side by side for a shift, and you switch when you are ready.
- What happens to my OTA connections?
- They move from Cloudbeds' channel manager to a separate channel manager that StaySynq syncs with two-way. Check that the OTAs you sell on are available there; we help you confirm.
- Is the migration charged separately?
- No. Migration and onboarding are included.
- How do the two systems compare?
- See StaySynq vs Cloudbeds, or the list of Cloudbeds alternatives if you are still choosing.
