How long should it take to clean a hotel room?
It depends on the room size and standard. Many hotels plan around 20 to 30 minutes for a check-out room and about half that for a stay-over. Time a few rooms at your own property before you set a target.
What is the difference between a check-out clean and a stay-over clean?
A check-out clean resets the whole room for a new guest: all linen and towels changed, every surface cleaned and everything restocked. A stay-over clean tidies and refreshes the room around the guest's belongings, and linen is changed according to your policy.
Who inspects rooms after cleaning?
Usually a housekeeping supervisor. Check-out rooms are inspected before they go back on sale, and stay-over rooms are spot-checked.
How does the front desk know a room is ready?
